梵語	sa tu yataikau varṇaparamāṇurna bhūtacatuṣkadvayam upādāyeṣyate tathā naivaiṣṭavya iti /
真諦譯	譬如一顯色鄰虛不許依二四大生，此聲亦應爾。
玄奘譯	如不許一顯色極微二四大造，聲亦應爾。
英譯	But the School (Vibhāṣā 127.8) does not admit that an atom of colour (varna) has as it cause two tetrads of great elements: so it cannot be admitted that an atom of sound is produced by the four great elements of the hand and the four great elements of a drum.
現代漢語釋	如同一個極微的顯色不能由兩個四大共同創造，聲也是如此。
