梵語	śītamuṣṇābhilāṣakṛt / jighatsā bhojanābhilāṣakṛt / kāraṇe kāryopacārāt /
真諦譯	熱愛為冷，食愛為饑，飲愛為渴，於因立果名故說如此。
玄奘譯	暖欲名冷，食欲名饑，飲欲名渴，此三於因立果名故作如是說。
英譯	the cold is what produces desire for heart: hunger(bubhukṣā) produces desire for food; thirst (pipāsā) produces desire for drink. By the words hunger and thirst is designated the tangible that produces hundger and thirst by hypallage，by designating the cause by the name of the effect.
現代漢語釋	欲暖稱為冷，欲食稱為饑，欲飲稱為渴，此三者以因稱果名，因此這樣說。
