梵語	pratighāto rupeṇety apare / paramāṇurūpaṃ tarhi rūpaṃ na prāpnoty arūpaṇāt/
真諦譯	對礙故名色。若爾，鄰虛色應不成色，不可變壞故。
玄奘譯	有說：變礙故名為色。若爾，極微應不名色，無變礙故。
英譯	ii According to other savants，the quality that makes the the rūpa，namely rūpana，is not rupture，deterioration (bādhanarūpana)，rūpana in the meaning deterioration); rather the impenetrability，the injury or resistance (pratighāta)，the obstacle that a rūpa opposes that its place should be occupied by another rūpa (see I，43 c-d).iii. Objections.1. In case this is so，the rūpa，that constitutes an atom，a ‘monad’，will not be rūpa，because the monad，that is not susceptible to deterioration，and not susceptible to resistance (pratighāta)，is without rūpana.
現代漢語釋	其他論師說：產生障礙，故名為色。如果是這樣，那麼極微就不應該稱作色，因為它不產生障礙。
