梵語	teṣāṃ yathākramaṃ tisraḥ skandhāyatanadhātudeśanā iti //
真諦譯	為此三人次第說三，謂陰、入、界。
玄奘譯	如其次第，世尊為說蘊、處、界三。
英譯	The teaching of the skandhas is meant for the first category of listeners，for those who err in respect of the mental phenomena，who have sharp faculties-who like brief teaching: the teaching of the āyatanas is meant for those of the second category: the teaching of the dhātus is meant for listeners of the third category.
