真諦譯	釋曰：阿毗達磨是此論依止，何以故？從彼法中引生此論故，彼於此論亦受藏名。
玄奘譯	或此依彼，從彼引生，是彼所藏，故亦名藏。
英譯	Or as Abhidharma is the point of support of this work，it may be said that this work is extracted from Abhidharma as from a case: so it is called Abhidharmakośa，"the work that has as its case the Abhidharma."
現代漢語釋	或者對法是此論的依止，對法中引生此論，因此，這個阿毗達磨就是這部論的藏。
