梵語	tayor api cakṣuṣo dūratare vṛttiḥ / paśyato 'pi dūrānnadīṃ tacchabdāśravaṇād atas tat pūrvam uktam /
真諦譯	於前二中眼事最遠，遠見江河，不聞聲故，故眼在前。
玄奘譯	二中眼用遠故，先說。遠見山河，不聞聲故。
英譯	The organ of view reaches further than the organ of hearing，because a river is seen，of which the noise is not heard. The organ of vision is，therefore，mentioned before that of hearing.
現代漢語釋	二者中眼所到更遠，因此先說。因為先是看到山河，而沒有聽見聲音。
